Pure Straight (清龍 · Ching Lung) is a Hong Kong mahjong hand: A complete 1-to-9 run in a single suit: 1-2-3, 4-5-6 and 7-8-9, all the same suit. The legacy additive reference sheet prices it at 10 faan, and every win also carries the 1 faan base, so a hand whose only named line is Pure Straight totals 11 faan. Under the legacy additive payout that 11 faan is the payment itself: the winner collects 33 points on a self-draw (自摸), when all three opponents pay 11 each, or 11 from the single player who discarded the winning tile (點炮). These are legacy additive reference values; tables choose their own sheet.

The 10 faan for Pure Straight is only part of it. The same tiles also satisfy Ping Hu (+2) — patterns stack in Hong Kong scoring, which is why a hand named for one shape often pays a good deal more than that shape's own value.
Faan is not the score by itself — it is the number the table turns into points, and Hong Kong tables do that two different ways.
