Yes. Mahjiku is free to download on the App Store and Google Play, and free to use for a game night. Joining a table as a guest is always free. A paid Superhost upgrade for unlimited hosting is prepared in the app but is not switched on, so nothing is charged today.
Hong Kong scoring, counted in faan. Mahjiku ships 42 named hands and bonuses, from the base point up to limit hands, and scores each hand with a deterministic engine rather than a guess. Other styles such as riichi, Taiwanese and American mahjong are not supported. Yes. House rules are the core of the app. You can switch each hand on or off, set its faan value, set the minimum faan needed to win, choose how flowers count, choose whether the dealer rotates on a draw, and choose how points settle. Save a rule set once and pick it for every table your circle plays.

Four seats: East, South, West and North, as Hong Kong mahjong is played. Guests who are not seated can still follow the scoreboard live, and there is no limit on how many people watch.
The host shares a short table code. A friend opens Mahjiku, taps Join by code, types the code, and the scoreboard updates on their phone as each hand is recorded. The host can also hand a co-host the pen, so someone else records while they play.
You sign in once with a connection. After that the game lives on the host's device first, so a moment without signal does not stop the table. Guests following the board live do need a connection to see each hand arrive.
Settlement is bookkeeping for game points only. When a hand is won, Mahjiku works out how many points move between the four seats under your house rules, so nobody has to be the accountant. No money is involved, and Mahjiku never handles payments between players.

No. You enter the winning hand yourself, and the engine scores it. You may attach a photo of the hand as a keepsake for the recap you share; that photo stays on the device that took it and is never uploaded.

English, Bahasa Indonesia and 中文. Hand names are shown in English with the Chinese characters beside them, so a beginner and a veteran can read the same scoreboard.
