Ping Hu (平和 · Ping Wu) is a Hong Kong mahjong hand: The gentlest hand: all four of your sets are runs (like 3-4-5), and your pair is a plain number tile — no triplets, no honours. Mahjiku's default sheet prices it at 2 faan, and every win also carries the 1 faan base, so a hand whose only named line is Ping Hu totals 3 faan. Under Mahjiku's default additive payout that 3 faan is the payment itself: the winner collects 9 points on a self-draw (自摸), when all three opponents pay 3 each, or 3 from the single player who discarded the winning tile (點炮). Faan values are a table's own call; this is Mahjiku's shipped default, editable in House Rules.

The 2 faan for Ping Hu is only part of it. The same tiles also satisfy Pure Straight (+10) — patterns stack in Hong Kong scoring, which is why a hand named for one shape often pays a good deal more than that shape's own value.

What 13 faan actually pays

Faan is not the score by itself — it is the number the table turns into points, and Hong Kong tables do that two different ways. Both are shipped in Mahjiku; the additive model is the default.

Self-draw: all three opponents pay. Discard: only the player who threw the tile pays. Both columns are the winner's gain, straight out of the app's settlement function.
