About Mahjiku

Mahjiku is a live score tracker for Hong Kong mahjong, made for the table you already play at. One host records each hand, everyone follows the same board live, and every winning hand is named as it lands.

Mahjiku is a score tracker, not a game of chance. Points only, no betting and no money. Pencatat skor mahjong. Bukan judi, tanpa taruhan.

What Mahjiku does

Live table. The host records each hand; guests join with a short code and watch the scoreboard update from their own seat.
Hong Kong scoring, done properly. A deterministic engine works out the faan, so the same hand always scores the same way.
Your table, your rules. A house-rules editor holds the faan values, the minimum to win, flowers, dealer rotation, and the settlement, saved as a rule set you reuse.
Every hand named. Each winning pattern is shown with its tiles and its name, in English with the Chinese characters beside it, so beginners learn while veterans play.
A recap worth keeping. The night ends with the best hands and the final standings, ready to share.

What Mahjiku is not

Not a gambling app. No betting, no wagering, no money, no real-world value, nothing to cash out.
Not a mahjong game. You play with real tiles at a real table; Mahjiku keeps the score.
Not a riichi, Taiwanese or American mahjong scorer. Hong Kong scoring only.
Not a tile reader. You enter the winning hand yourself; the engine scores it.
Not a photo host. A hand photo never leaves the device that took it.

Why it exists

Hong Kong mahjong is easy to love and hard to score. One person at every table ends up as the accountant, and beginners spend the night asking what a hand was worth. Mahjiku takes both problems off the table: the scoring is automatic, the hand names are visible to everyone, and the game keeps its rhythm. Points only — for the love of the game.
