Last-Tile Draw (海底撈月 · Hoi Dai Lou Yut) is a Hong Kong mahjong scoring bonus: You self-drew the winning tile as the very last tile left in the wall — “scooping the moon from the seabed.” Mahjiku's default sheet prices it at 1 faan, and every win also carries the 1 faan base, so a hand whose only named line is Last-Tile Draw totals 2 faan. Payment follows the hand's whole faan total, not this line alone: under Mahjiku's default additive model the total is what each payer hands over — all three opponents on a self-draw (自摸), the discarder alone on a discard win (點炮), and since 2 faan is under the 3 faan minimum, Last-Tile Draw is a top-up rather than a hand of its own. Faan values are a table's own call; this is Mahjiku's shipped default, editable in House Rules.

How to spot Last-Tile Draw at the table

When it happens: the wall runs out and the final tile you draw wins it.

What it adds up to

Every win starts at 1 faan for the base, so a hand whose only named line is Last-Tile Draw is worth 1 + 1 = 2 faan. Anything else the hand happens to be — a flush, a triplet shape, a dragon set — stacks on top of that.

That is under the table minimum of 3 faan, so Last-Tile Draw on its own never wins a hand. It is a top-up, not a hand.

What 2 faan actually pays

Faan is not the score by itself — it is the number the table turns into points, and Hong Kong tables do that two different ways. Both are shipped in Mahjiku; the additive model is the default.

Self-draw: all three opponents pay. Discard: only the player who threw the tile pays. Both columns are the winner's gain, straight out of the app's settlement function.

Worth knowing. Under a doubling table a hand below the 3 faan minimum pays nothing at all — the zeros above are the engine's minimum-faan gate, not a rounding artefact.
