Mahjiku's default value, from the bonus block of the shipped Hong Kong ruleset. Your table can price it differently; the engine reads whatever your rule set says.

What Flowers means

Flower and season tiles are bonus tiles set to the side — not part of your 14-tile hand. Each one you hold scores a point.

How to spot it. The pretty extra tiles (flowers 梅蘭菊竹, seasons 春夏秋冬) sitting apart from your hand.

Passed to Mahjiku's scoring engine (won on a discard, with sets claimed from the table, seat wind South, round wind West), that hand comes back as:

Flowers sit outside the hand, so the engine also reports a separate 8 — the total without them. That is the number measured against the 3 faan minimum: flowers can add to what a win pays, but they can never carry a hand over the line.

What 11 faan actually pays

Faan is not the score by itself — it is the number the table turns into points, and Hong Kong tables do that two different ways. Both are shipped in Mahjiku; the additive model is the default.

Self-draw: all three opponents pay. Discard: only the player who threw the tile pays. Both columns are the winner's gain, straight out of the app's settlement function.
