All Eight Flowers (八仙過海 · Baat Sin Gwo Hoi) is a Hong Kong mahjong hand: You are holding every bonus tile there is — all four flowers and all four seasons. That alone wins the hand instantly. Mahjiku's default sheet prices it at 15 faan, and every win also carries the 1 faan base, so a hand whose only named line is All Eight Flowers totals 16 faan. Under Mahjiku's default additive payout that 16 faan is the payment itself: the winner collects 48 points on a self-draw (自摸), when all three opponents pay 16 each, or 16 from the single player who discarded the winning tile (點炮). Faan values are a table's own call; this is Mahjiku's shipped default, editable in House Rules.

Every win starts at 1 faan for the base, so a hand whose only named line is All Eight Flowers is worth 1 + 15 = 16 faan. Anything else the hand happens to be — a flush, a triplet shape, a dragon set — stacks on top of that.

What 16 faan actually pays

Faan is not the score by itself — it is the number the table turns into points, and Hong Kong tables do that two different ways. Both are shipped in Mahjiku; the additive model is the default.

Self-draw: all three opponents pay. Discard: only the player who threw the tile pays. Both columns are the winner's gain, straight out of the app's settlement function.

Worth knowing. Both doubling tables stop at 13 faan, so this 16-faan hand is paid at the 13-faan row — 384 points under 半辣上 and 8192 under 辣辣上. Everything above 13 faan pays the same. The additive model has no ceiling, so there the extra faan still count.
