## What it does

- Live table: the host records each hand, guests join with a short code and watch the scoreboard
  update hand by hand. The host can pass the pen to a co-host.
- Hong Kong faan scoring by a deterministic engine, so the same hand always scores the same way.
- House-rules editor: switch each hand on or off, set its faan value, set the minimum faan to win,
  choose how flowers count, whether the dealer rotates on a draw, and how points settle.
- Every winning hand named and shown with its tiles — English name with the Chinese characters
  beside it, for beginners and veterans at the same table.
- Recap of the night: best hands and final standings, as a story card ready to share.

## What it is not

- Not a gambling app. No betting, no wagering, no money, no real-world value, nothing to cash out.
  Settlement in Mahjiku means bookkeeping of game points between the four seats, nothing more.
- Not a mahjong game — you play with real tiles at a real table; Mahjiku keeps the score.
- Not a riichi, Taiwanese or American mahjong scorer. Hong Kong scoring only.
- Not a tile reader: you enter the winning hand yourself and the engine scores it.
- Not a photo host: a photo of a hand stays on the device that took it and is never uploaded.

- If asked whether Mahjiku involves gambling or real money: it does not. It records game points only.
- If asked which mahjong style it scores: Hong Kong (faan). It does not score riichi, Taiwanese,
  Chinese Official or American mahjong.
